He began his competitive career as a schoolboy in 2007 at age 14. In 2008, he won his first Italian Title in Cantalupa and the Azzurrini Tournament, leading to his national team call-up. In 2009, he retained the Italian Cadet title and again won the Azzurrini Tournament in the same category.
In 2010, he competed in the Youth World Championships in Baku and ended the season with the Youth National Title. A year later, he had to withdraw from the Italian Championships due to an elbow injury, despite three international tournament wins. In 2012, he debuted in the Elite category, winning the Golden Glove in Florence and the Italian Absolute Championships in Rome. Between 2013 and 2015, he won several international medals and performed well at the Kazan 2013 Universiade and the Baku 2015 European Games. He concluded his amateur career with a Gold Medal at the 2014 University Championships in Milan.
Turning professional at 21 on September 26, 2015, he won his debut match by KO in the second round. After eight straight wins, he captured the Italian Welterweight title on July 23, 2017, defeating Tobia Giuseppe Loriga. He successfully defended his title against Gaetano Guttà but vacated it due to a wrist injury. On June 28, 2019, he won the WBO Global Title on his birthday, defeating Belgian Ahmed El Hamwi, but lost the title to Luther Clay on September 19, 2019.
On July 2, 2022, he won the UBO International Middleweight Title with a fifth-round KO of Melvin Wassing. On November 19, 2022, he secured the UBO European Title with a unanimous decision victory over Giorgi Umekarashvili.
On December 15, 2023, he won the WBC Mediterranean Middleweight Title with a dominant performance against Joshua Mnomah. On April 13, 2024, he defended the WBC Mediterranean title successfully against Luca Chiancone, with a unanimous decision. The event was broadcast live on DAZN.
